Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam comes to Whistler with DJ Kairosity

Our first international & female host, DJ Kairosity from Amsterdam! Let yourself go. Connect with yourself & others in a safe space, through music by our live DJ. Let the music take you on journey of self discovery. Come as you are. Just dance! At Ecstatic Dance, we do not use drugs, alcohol or other substances to connect. Just feel the rhythm of the music and allow it to take you on a journey of self discovery. Timings as followed: 18:00 Doors open! Stretch and warm up in the space 18:20 Opening circle: introduction, connect with yourself and others 18:40 Ecstatic Dance w/ DJ Kairosity 20:40 Finish with reflection and check-in with everyone 21:00 Space is Closed (til next time) What is Ecstatic Dance? Ecstatic Dance is a free flowing way of dance and movement. It focuses the mind to reflect on your day and how you fell inside. It is a meditation though breath and how the music effects you. Ecstatic Dance is a safe space where we connect, embrace and encourage each other. You can relax and be yourself. Show who you really are without fear of judgement. This Ecstatic Dance takes place over 2 hours comprised of a live DJ set. The music takes you on a journey through different genres and rhythm, bringing you up to a peak and gently landing you back down to the ground. DJ Kairosity The dance is my greatest teacher. When I dance, I am. The body always knows. As a musician I love creating atmospheres for people to find themselves in. As a dancer I love to dive into the dance and become the dance itself. As a DJ I love to combine both. My DJ name: Kairosity means the space where you feel the time when forgetting about time itself. The place where you can become timeless. Having my roots in Egypt and in the Netherlands, I love bringing people back to themselves and back together with sounds from all over the world. The event is being held downstairs in the Multipurpose Room. There is limited capacity of 20+ people so it will be first come, first served, on entry. Please come wearing comfortable clothes for dancing. Water will be available, but please try to bring your own bottle. Dancing will be barefoot or with socks (if necessary).
