We will journey through a sound portal of rich textures and juicy soundscapes that will invite you to reconnect with your wild, erotic innocence, as well as your raw emotional truth. This is a set to explore embodied storytelling. For letting go of comparison and tuning into the authentic wisdom of your body. A set for catharsis and rebirth. For remembrance, of who you really are, beneath all the noise of the modern world. This is a homecoming. This set also serves as a celebratory evening as Indigo Rose returns to visit her beloved hOme and Seattle community! She moved to North Carolina over a year ago and has not been back to Seattle in almost a year. She is incredibly excited to dance at hOme with the opportunity to nourish her roots and reweave the threads of her heart back into this vibrant community that has held her through so much of her becoming. <3 This set is sure to be a wild, playful, potent journey of authentic expression and loving connection. You will find yourself enjoying the movements of these dances, as well as the workout it gives you. With their friendly "show and go" style of teaching, you will develop the strength, fitness and coordination needed to move and express yourself through these amazing and joyous African dances. In class, you will learn the movement vocabulary and rhythms that make up this beautiful art form and meet great like-minded people.
