Ecstatic Dance Brisbane - Cacao Ceremony

Join us for a powerful evening of journeying deep into your heart with the assistance of ancient cacao medicine and ecstatic dance. For thousands of years, cacao has been celebrated as a food of the gods. Together we will drink a cacao elixir, giving ourselves the opportunity to enter into the stillness and wisdom of our being. This journey will offer a space to expand your awareness of self, be moved by the flow of love, expand your intuitive awareness and cultivate your connection to the Source of life. Ecstatic Dance has been used in cultures around the world as a method for tapping into the wisdom of the emotional body. This journey is an invitation to connect to your radical aliveness and inner coherence, remembering how to use your emotional intelligence to better serve you in your daily life. Things to keep in mind… – It is often suggested to not eat for 6 hours before consuming cacao for ceremony. While this is definitely an invitation into a full experience, please be mindful of what your body needs. Eating “lightly” during this time is just as well, and if you really have to eat, EAT! – No Coffee after 10am – Drink a lot of water during the day prior to the ceremony. The Cacao Ceremony is a monthly event held on the first Friday of the month. Guidelines 1. No talking on the dance floor 2. Dance however you wish 3. Respect yourself and one another No dance experience required*** Hall entrance on Sussex Street. Parking on the street available around the venue. Contribution $15 / $10 concession Please come around 6:45pm when the doors open to get grounded and prepare for our shared journey. We will close the doors at 7:10pm when our ritual begins to keep our space contained and sacred.
