Passionate about playing music from all over the world, old and new, along with her passion to get everyone dancing, Sophie naturally knows how to raise the vibration of any dance floor. She draws upon soulful dance music spanning the genres of Deep/Electro/Melodic House, Trance, Funk, Soul and loads more... It’s a movement meditation which brings together awareness of mind, body, heart and soul through dance, movement and expression. Ecstatic Dance is a safe, held and sacred space for you to dance, release, express and connect with yourself and others. It can be fun, deep, uplifting, liberating and so much more. It takes place over a 2 hour live DJ set and ends with a relaxing sound bath. ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES Ecstatic Dance has been created as a safe and contained space for dance, movement and expression. We kindly ask all participants to respect these guidelines: - the dance floor is a non-verbal space - the dance floor is a phone free space - this is a drug and alcohol free event - the dance floor is a place of respect and safety. Maintain care/awareness for the space and those around you. Ecstatic Dance is contact-friendly but keep in mind that we all have different levels of comfort when it comes to being approached and touched. - Ecstatic Dance is a barefoot practice. If you need to wear shoes due to health reasons, indoor dance shoes are allowed WHAT TO BRING - loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself - water bottle - a blanket / yoga mat to lay down on for the sound bath - an open heart VENUE, PARKING & TRANSPORT This event is taking place at LGCC - a beautiful new community centre located north of Bristol in the neighbourhood of Lyde Green. The centre has a wonderful big hall with an amazing sprung floor. They have a car park which is free to use. Please use this event page to arrange lift shares from Bristol.
