Maywa spent more than 10 years travelling and living throughout Africa, South & Central America (México, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Chile, Peru & Colombia). Living for several years in the jungle, she began writing her own medicine songs. Her path deepened with the Shipibo grandmothers of Peru, who helped her remember her gift. Through listening to nature and the subtle realms, Maywa guides people into deep reconnection with the Earth through sound journeys, hybrid live sets, cacao dance, and voice embodiment. She sings ancient Icaros in Quechua, Mapuche, Shipibo & Kogi, alongside Spanish and English.
