Theme: Come Out and Play Description: Spring is in full effect and soon we’ll be welcoming in the energy of the Summer months. This set is a call to awaken your body, stir your spirit, and let the wild come through. Expect pulsing drum grooves, basslines that bounce, and rhythms that flirt with chaos and sensuality. We’ll start slow and powerfully low and then rise into juicy, booty-shaking peaks, and ride waves of playful release and grounded joy. This is your invitation to come alive, come together—and come out and play. Bio: Sami has been dancing at Om Culture since late 2017. They are in love with the community and appreciate the opportunity to arrange playlists in a way of not only sharing their heart and passion, but keeping the balance of giving and receiving in community. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pre-Dance Workshop ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Title: Funn-damentals of Contact Improv Facilitators: Serge Gubelman and Adnan Khan Description: This workshop will start with fundamentals of listening, playfulness, and spontaneity, and open into into a Jam towards the end. From a background of physical theater, Serge Gubelman was exposed to Contact improvisation in 1975 in New York and has been practicing ever since. He first taught C.I. in in Paris in 1979.
