✨ We dance on Sunday afternoons in the sun-soaked, light-filled space at the Anita Martinez Center ✨ With delight, we welcome Honest ॐ to the decks to guide this music-led experience. His intention for the set is dancing all the voices of our inner archetypes. We are in for journey, community! WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE: Ecstatic Dance Dance offers a transformational space for healing, prayer, and freeform movement where creativity expands, spirit activates, boundaries are learned, hope happens, beauty flows, communities collaborate, ritual is reinvented, harmony resonates, the beat deepens as an electronic tapestry of world rhythms weave us together as individuals within a greater family. We create a space that is inspiring and uplifting; without talking, alcohol or the nightclub scene. We encourage participants to utilize the Ecstatic Dance space as an invitation for their magical mysterious nature, soulful somatic movement, creative self-expression, and heart-centered connection to self, life and others. We hold a nonverbal, barefoot, alcohol-free container to keep the journey intentional and lucid. You can dance the night away and still wake up early to do awesome stuff in the world! ABOUT HONEST | � Honest’s music is inspired from cultures across the globe and sounds from many genres. You may have seen him opening up for Mose or Equanimous at festivals, or playing his music at Ecstatic Dance around Dallas. His songs are the perfect integration of earthy soundscapes blended with otherworldly atmospheres. His versatility and ability to tackle endless genres while maintaining distinct recognizability is one of the aspects that makes him Honest. Check out his features and collaborations with ElyJa, 1221, and Pretty Dim. His current exploration of music has been influenced by Bonobo, Alex Serra, Tarkan, Affelaye, Yaima & Disclosure. From blending house drums with Peruvian flutes to meshing dubstep basslines with ethereal kirtan-like chanting, Honest’s sets are always a journey to experience. “I could never claim to be fully Honest - I hide things even from myself - but it is my aim to be.
