~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ecstatic Dance ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cedar Roots’ music is a weaving of silk and honey carried by earthy, grounding beats. Rooted in the land and reaching toward the sky their dance journeys offer a sound that is both tender and electric, grounded and transcendent, closing with their heart opening, sound healing songs of live vocals and acoustic guitar. Cedar Roots came together in 2018, writing and producing music while also creating community events, including Vibestown Festival. Since then, they have been sharing their music on tour within the Ecstatic Dance community across Canada, the West Coast of North America, and the Hawaiian Islands, including transformational festivals such as Beloved in Oregon and Thrive Fest Hawai‘i. Their sets blend organic beats, tribal percussion, and global rhythms into steady, intentional journeys built for embodied movement and expression. Join Cedar Roots for a Somatic Song Circle that begins with gentle vocal embodiment practices, including breath, movement, toning, and simple sound exploration. From there, we move into an uplifting song circle with easy call-and-response songs that build shared energy, confidence, and joy.
