Ecstatic Dance Festival is grassroots, warm, personal, human, and real. We intentionally keep this gathering small, with no more than 200 people including our wonderful crew and all the talented artists and facilitators. That’s enough to create a real sense of community, and by the second day, you’ll start to recognize familiar faces around you whilst sharing community meals, enjoying saunas, wildly dancing or resting during the sound journeys and we see this as a core part of the festival rooted in connection, belonging, and community. We've also taken out commercial aspects of other festivals - there is no marketplace, stalls or brand promotions.
