Ecstatic Dance is a container for raw, authentic expression through movement. If you are new to edance, please read the rules below. Dance every Thursday 8-10pm We'll begin the evening with a vocal toning circle, in which we create a supportive space to explore group harmonies in a freeform style. Flint then offers a special hybrid DJ/live looping ecstatic dance set featuring guest musicians. Based in South Florida, Flint Blade tours nationally, performing at festivals and conscious community spaces. Flint is a heartfelt supporter of the ecstatic dance movement and is best known for his work on the Chapman Stick guitar/bass tapping instrument, developing his signature sound noted with beatbox vocal percussion and various world instruments. Flint has recorded and produced his own original music for years, releasing songs on California-based High Vibe Records and his own label In Love Records. Practice Non-verbal consent - Allow everyone the space to dance apart. - To interact, make eye contact, and 'listen' for a yes. - Respect solo dancers' space - Hands in prayer means, "I see you, and thank you for the dance (that just ended)." This is a transformational space for healing, connection, and expression. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
