About this Event

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ecstatic Dance ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DJ: RjcSpirit Vibe: You’re with your tribe. Feet touching earth, pulse in your chest. We dive into raw, real, and ancient energies. Then rise, fierce and grateful, for this one wild life. Theme: Three world tribes. Three energies. The beauty, the primal depth, and the pure joy of spirit — each brought to life through rhythm and movement. Description: This is a dance of unity. A 100% tribal playlist that hits deep— bold, immersive, and alive. Three global tribes shape the journey, each with its own unique sound, power, and story. Bring something personal— a stone, a token, a piece of your world. We’ll place them on a shared altar and let the dance charge them with meaning to take home. Try your best to be on time (8:15). The opening tracks are the doorway— a rhythmic offering to ground and ignite us. Bio: Raymond Castonguay was raised in the bare Arizona desert wilderness creating his own worlds (hideouts) only to be rebuilt stronger after massive monsoons. He is a world traveled entrepreneur always seeking to ensure a harmonious synergy between Nature and technology. His attraction and creativity with music has always been its ability to sweep one’s self into other worlds of love, oneness, and mystery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pre-Dance Workshop ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Title: Barefoot Play Facilitator: Julian Hayes Description: What is Barefoot Play? The Method: Barefoot Play is a workshop container that uses movement and play as a medium to integrate heartfelt intuition into the moment-to-moment context of life. What Will We Do? During this workshop at Om Culture, we will engage in various games and exercises that derive from play, dance, improvisation and roughhousing. This will all take place within groups, pairs, and individual experience. Additionally, if there is time. There will be a movement flow taught during the workshop for those who want to expand their personal movement library. The Theory of Barefoot Play: Relationship is how we relate to everything and everyone in our experience. This is what spiritual/mindfulness practices help us with. Additionally, this is where our movement practice can expand and and harmonize our relationship to life. The purpose of a movement practice is to improve our relationships on the level of: 1. Self 2. Others 3. Our environment. We develop the skill of aligned action and compassion by first getting a sense of how to listen to the wisdom of the heart. Then we integrate this skill of deep listening into the context of action and decision making within a safe container, such as a Barefoot Play workshop. This practice of this skill empowers us to move through our lives from heart alignment, rather than conditioned attachments. The workshops of Barefoot Play is attempt to evolve our fitness culture into something that serves more than just our personal physiology and aesthetics. Barefoot Play's Vision : 1. Supporting people's process to actualize how to live from the heart. 2. Nurturing the culture of movement as a resource for the expansion of collective consciousness. 3. Unify people in peace, love, and happiness through a revolution of play. Any enquires and/or concerns can be addressed to: [email protected] OR Instagram: @Barefoot.Play www.barefootplay.org  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Evening flow ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6:30pm - Doors Open 7pm - Workshop 8:15p - Dance begins 10:20p - Dance ends, closing circle 10:35p - Snacks & Socializing 11:30p - Doors close ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cost ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Workshop: free if attending dance Drop-in $20 Pass $90 (6 dances @ $15) Cash or Venmo at door or prepay online at omculture.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
