ECSTATIC DANCE GLOBAL FAMILY…. Join us every Wednesday 9:30-11am , Saturday 7:00-8:30pm and Sunday 10:30-12noon EASTERN TIME ZONE (check your time zone). Doors open 30 minutes prior to the dance for silent meditation or enjoy the soft music and get yourself warmed up, ready. Links to join from any geographic location and in your body, are below. Our dances are offered for a donation or free. Your donations help us to keep things flowing and you are encouraged to join no matter what. We are a diverse and growing group of dancing enthusiasts from around the world that come together three times a week to move, play, dance, meditate, connect, heal, express and grow. What? What started and still is, Ecstatic Dance SRQ in Sarasota Florida USA, has expanded during the COVID pandemic to include many from different countries. Over the last 8 months we’ve become closely connected and a naturally growing group of men, women, all ages, all colors and all identities. How? We meet on zoom, from our homes….in different time zones and dance together. This is a sacred space and begins with an optional meditation 30 minutes before each dance, followed by a 15 minute warm-up offered by a community member and a 5 minute closing circle. Simply arrive either for the meditation or the dance of your choice with links below. Many times we stay after for an informal conversation/”afterparty” as well. No need to sign up ahead or anything. If you have the means, and enjoy it please donate (Dances usually go for $15 in our area, any amount is welcome that works for you) and THANK YOU SO MUCH! The music is DJ-ed by Kai (Kelly Atkins) with a blend of world, electronic conscious and sacred music blended with dubstep, club, rap, techno/house, instrumental and chill. The music is chosen to open your dance, to experience lots of different vibrations (healing musical qualities and solfeggio rhythms/harmonics), emotions and musical genres and to inspire creativity. Its set up in a wave format. Kelly Atkins has been creating playlists and soundscapes for dance and conscious movement many years and has great joy making unique sound journeys for every dance.
