We strive to hold a space where all people can come and raise their consciousness through dance. With the mediums of music, movement, and intention we build a community centered in celebration of the good things in life. Join us Sunday March 19th for DJ Boogiemeister's return to Ecstatic Dance LA! Atasiea will lead a Yoga & Movement-Connection warm up giving everyone an opportunity to get grounded, well stretched and connected for their dance. We will also have special guest chef Debra Mazer in the kitchen and healing arts practitioners to nourish your bodies. Whether you're a conscious dance connoisseur, or new to the experience, you're invited to join us and explore what ecstatic dance is for you. He has been producing music since the year 2000, with over 40+ songs on his discography, 2 full length albums & 3 EPs. Back in 2004 he co-founded Beats Without Borders monthly (global fusion dance parties in Vancouver, BC that just had 10th anniversary!) & band Delhi 2 Dublin (who have gone on to be quite a successful popular band). In November 2014 he launched “Remix The Earth”, an ongoing music, travel & video project spanning the globe. He uses the almighty laptop and plays bass, guitar, synths, melodica, & various percussion. His debut full length album "EthnosonicSUBfunk Theories" is available on iTunes & in rotation online. His latest EP's & releases have been cultivating a new sound immersed in House, specifically Afro-House, Latin-House & Tropical House! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** Movement Connection Warmup with Atasiea www.atasiea.com Join Atasiea for mindfullness & movement practices incorporating stretches, contact improvisation exercises, and group ensemble activities with mind/body awareness that are tailored to help individuals warm up for an ecstatic dance journey. ~ Atasiea- 'Oneness' (aka Kenneth L. Ferguson) is a Healer, Professional Actor, Dancer, and Martial Artist, Reiki Master, Bodyworker, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, Minister, & Dancing Freedom Facilitator. He is the Co-founder/producer, resident facilitator, and healing arts practitioner of Ecstatic Dance Los Angeles. He resides in Echo Park LA, where he runs ‘Angelic Presence Healing Practice’ doing massage, energy healing, private yoga instruction, and spiritual guidance counseling. As an intuitive healer he provides, physical, emotional, and psycho-spiritual support to all people through bodywork, Reiki, sound healing, channeling, conscious dance, and ceremonial facilitation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** HOW IT WORKS: To begin, a special warm up yoga or movement class is facilitated by skilled practitioners. The opening class blends seamlessly into the the two hour freeform dance journey facilitated by our guest DJ. At the end of the DJ set, we close with some sound healing, or group exercise to ground and complete the experience. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** WHAT TO EXPECT *Children under 16 dance free! *No unauthorized photo or video allowed. *Complimentary earplugs. *Ecstatic Dance is a barefoot practice.
