Beautiful Ecstatic Dance Family, I'm so honored to be up next as your dance journey DJ in September. Crafting and sharing an inspired Ecstatic soundscape for you all is one of my greatest joys. When I create an Ecstatic Dance set, I put my whole heart into the process, letting each track come through to me and fall into place through hours upon hours of listening to music and letting the muse come through as I slowly build the journey, song by song. I LOVE the process. I've been Ecstatic Dancing for 15 years now, and as I'm creating a set, I choose music that lights a fire inside and moves me as a dancer. I love incorportating a range of genres and emotions while also having a sweet blend of insturmental music and music with vocals and lyrics. I want the journey to tell a story that can be very perosnal for each dancer. I so look forward to playing a deeply powerful and soulful set for you all. I love you. I'm so grateful for you. History of Ecstatic Dance: Ecstatic Dance (with it's roots in 5 rhythms) was birthed in Hawaii in the year 2000, and is now a world-wide movement found in almost every major city. It combines the freedom of a festival experience with the awareness of a conscious dance practice. The Ecstatic Dance guidelines (listed above) are Universal guidelines. Although each Ecstatic Dance around the globe is unique, these guidelines connect the web of all Ecstatic Dances together as one. Our Schedule Flow: We open up with yoga to wake up and stretch our bodies followed by a two hour dance journey fascilitated by a professional DJ held in a safe space for you to express yourself freely and fully. We end things with a sound healing or meditation and closing circle. This is sacred space for you to be your unique authentic self in an open, loving, judgement-free container that celebrates you for being you! Thank you with all my heart for your continued support. This community started out as a little seed that has been consistently tended to, watered and nourished by all of us as this is a co-creation. Our dance family keeps growing, evolving and thriving. It brings tears of joy to my eyes. When Ecstatic Dance first found me back in 2008 ~ I had this instant feeling of coming home when I walked into Sweets ballroom in Oakland California. The fire was ignited within me and has burned bright ever since bringing blessing after blessing. The gifts of this practice and community have been onging and profound. It is my absolute joy and pleasure to share this magic as it has changed my life in truly countless positive ways. This is my welcome home to you.
