We are happy to welcome you to this special edition of Ecstatic Dance Leuven! *Tuesday 21 June 2022* *Summer Solstice Edition* *Ceremony with live music from Johannes Siemann, Dorien Ploem and Thomas Lorinc* *Ecstatic Dance journey with dj Falkor* Summer Solstice, it's the longest day in the year, from that day, the days will shorten again. It's summer at it's highest point, a day to celebrate the FIRE of the sun, but even more the fire within ourselves. We will take you into a ceremony to celebrate this day, to thank for what life has given us, and to set our prayers for ourselves, our relatives and the world. From this prayer circle, which will be guided with live music, we go into a dance journey with dj Falkor. After the dance there is a moment for integration and you are free to hangout at the campfire, relax, play music... Come as you are Move however you wish We dance barefeet, drink only water, and don't talk on the dancefloor. You can park on the meadow to the left of the field road. Then you walk along the field road along a bend to the left, a bend to the right, a few chalets, until you can't go any further. There's the dance 🙂 ▬▬ ★ WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE? ★ ▬▬ A unique dance experience, guided by music and sounds. We go on exploration, dare to be vulnerable and gently push our boundaries. There are three simple basic guidelines to ED: "No shoes. No booze. No chitchat." So we come together connecting our bare feet to the earth, purely communicating through our bodies, and celebrating life in all its aspects! We welcome you exactly as you are now! So you are entirely free to follow your own needs during the dance. Each ED starts and ends with a ceremony in which we make time and space to connect with ourselves, the others, the space, the vibrations, our intentions and the larger ED tribe. This opening is guided, and leads you into the dance. The concept of ED arose about 25 years ago in Hawaii and California, went around the world and has grown extensively over the years, weekly touching many hearts and bodies all over the world.
