About this Event
✨Dance is a powerful tool for transformation!
It's a way of connecting more deeply with ourselves; our bodies and emotions. The dance floor is a place to release any stuck energy within us, a white canvas to express our creativity through movement, opening us up to pure presence and bliss💛
This Sunday our incredible resident DJ is coming back to share some sweet sounds.
DJ Ecstatica it is bringing a wave for our Sundance this week with Global Beats and Ethno House to go on a deep journey where we can explore our bodies and layers throughout the different sounds.
After years of travelling and dancing around the world, she loves to blend music from Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe like there are no boarders, connecting cultures and people into a beautiful community dance journey
What is Ecstatic Dance?
In this form of dance, freedom of movement is at the core. No set steps to follow, no deep structures or restrictions. The dance is wrapped in the wave of the music, the Ecstatic Wave. Our DJ's create a wave that takes us from stillness, to awakening, through peak expression and down to rest and back into stillness. The music journey begins with slow, sweet and tender music, supporting us to begin to find ourselves, to meet our bodies and breath - to awaken the fabric of our being. The wave gently moves into higher beats and rhythms taking us from a place to getting to know ourselves to really know what lives within as the music transitions to high peaks, beats and grooves where we land at the peak of our expression, giving ourselves to the dance and the wisdom of the body.
The combination of the Ecstatic Wave and Freedom of movement is what makes Ecstatic Dance apart from other dances. It's like journeying through the inner seasons and rhythms through dance and movement.
The Dance is seen as Medicine for those that gives themselves into the Wave. As it helps us with awakening to our Truth, releasing tension from the body, and freeing the mind from the business of day to day life.

There may be songs you don't like but we encourage you to find ways to continue to stay with the journey and even express your dislike through your movement.
