As a young teen he later entered the arts of dance (breaking and house), and dj’ing (disco and deep tech) at local parties. As Marcel continued to learn of other styles of dance and music, his selection of music continued to expand while becoming more refined for dj’ing, particularly with genres of electronic and world music. As a musician, Marcel also occasionally performs live afro based percussion in his dj sets, adding an organic feel to his music curation for the dancer. Marcel has both Dj’d and danced at ecstatic dance events locally and from Tulum to Tel-Aviv, and is bringing new vibes from his experiences around the globe to his music curation for ecstatic dance. As a dancer, Marcel looks for music that will inspire movement within the dancer. Being primarily a house dancer, with experience in partner dances such as cumbia, salsa, bachata, hustle, and other genres of dance, he aims to curate sounds that accentuate the vocabulary of every dancer’s movement.
