For our December Ecstatic Dance, we welcome DJ Nate Hargis of Recycled Funk! Nate has been a friend of mine since the birth of Ecstatic Dance KC in the early days of 2016! It has been so exciting watching Nate grow and evolve as an artist. He is extremely talented and it is an honor to have him create the set for our last dance of 2023! Welocme Nate and we LOVE YOU!!! History of Ecstatic Dance: Ecstatic Dance (with it's roots in 5 rhythms) was birthed in Hawaii in the year 2000, and is now a world-wide movement found in almost every major city. It combines the freedom of a festival experience with the awareness of a conscious dance practice. The Ecstatic Dance guidelines are Universal. Although each Ecstatic Dance around the globe is unique, these guidelines connect the web of all Ecstatic Dances together as one. The Schedule Flow: We open up with yoga followed by a two hour dance journey fascilitated by a professional DJ held in a safe and sacred space for you to express yourself freely and fully. We end things with a sound healing or meditation and closing circle. This is sacred space for you to be your unique authentic self in a judgement-free container that celebrates you for being you!
