Ecstatic Dance NYC :: Virtual Edition

Join us on Tuesday night, as we begin our journey into the Virtual World! There will be a full Ecstatic Dance experience, with the intention of keeping the essence of what we do on the dance floor at Judson, and translating that into a dynamic, virtual experience. It will be a live-experience online (yes, on Zoom!), where a group field around the world will be created, but the focus will not be about watching each other dance, with our cameras on (even though that's really cool!), but rather, creating a permissive space to just simply be, with our cameras turned off, as we are guided in a facilitated movement class, followed by an Ecstatic Dance with two DJ's, ending with a closing sound meditation. There will also be live visual projections, and... a live drumming interlude by our resident Ecstatic drummer! We'll also have a simultaneous VIRTUAL LOUNGE :: Off The Dance Floor experience for our community to join into, should you feel like taking a breather from the dance. We'll be inviting some of our friends to facilitate connection experiences and other fun activities for us to engage in, while the music is happening in the other 'room'.
