This is a community space open to all ages and expressions. ----- About Jef Stott ~ DJ, producer and performer JEF STOTT is one of the original Ecstatic Dance DJs in Northern California, performing many powerful sets in the early days at Sweets Ballroom and many other dances throughout the Bay Area. Jef Stott’s DJ sets bring a sense of uplifting tribal community to the dance floor. As an early producer of global fusion music for over 25 years, his sound is a conscious blend of the best in global electronic music which simultaneously reaches back to ancient traditions while pushing the future of music forward. Jef has released over a dozen full length albums, multiple singles and remixes on Six Degrees and various other labels and has embarked on several successful tours that have taken him to festivals and club appearances throughout Asia, North America and Europe, often sharing stages with the likes of contemporaries Cheb I Sabbah, Thievery Corporation, Nickodemus, Gaudi, Makyo, David Starfire, Beats Antique, FreQ Nasty among others. Collaborations include an A-list of conscious world music producers including David Starfire, TempleStep, Mah Ze Tar, Desert Dwellers, Gaudi, Stella Mara, Irina Mikhailova, and many more. Jef has also served as music director for large scale Burning Man sound camps (Hookahdome) and curated entire nights for other prominent camps such as Opulent Chill and others. Jef is also a highly accomplished lifelong multi-instrumentalist, adding a live performance element to his live shows with many instruments ranging from sacred traditional string and percussion instruments of the Middle East and North Africa, to various guitars, bass, drums and live electronics.
