Voor deze avond wordt er een speciale zachte dansvloer neergelegd in de Cultuurmakerij zodat je heerlijk vrij kunt bewegen. Deze keer gaan we op reis met de Godfather of Ecstatic Dance DJ Shanto. Some dj careers are build on hype, some on substance. For decades DJ Shanto is one of the pioneers of the conscious dance scene. His long running Nataraj parties in the Netherlands have lifted barefoot clubbing to the next level. From this he developed two great new initiatives. First in 2011 he opened the legendary Club Lite which became a benchmark for conscious clubbing in Europe. One year later he started Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam which became one of the Mecca’s of this worldwide dance movement and an example for many dances to emerge. In the past years his focus is again more on music and Dj’ing. His eclectic selection of music makes him much in demand for Ecstatic Dances around the planet. What you can expect is a surprising journey that brings you off the beaten track. After playing ethnic and crossover music for decades his sets are nowadays more infused with western magic. Ecstatic Dance is een vrije dans, waarin je je kunt bewegen zoals jij dat graag wilt, alleen of samen. De dansvloer is vrij van stimulerende middelen zoals alcohol en drugs.
