Ecstatic Dance San Diego returns to Pt. Loma, February 20th with Presence in Partner Dance class taught by Shelby & Andy followed by Ecstatic Dance & Sound Alchemy Journey by multi-instrumentalist & producer LightHawk Ecstatic Dance is a community movement, a sacred space for you to explore and tap into your true expression. Come be held by the dance floor, the music and the community, connect non-verbally with yourself and others and tap into the magic of this liberating movement space. Location: 2650 Truxtun Rd, Ste 200 San Diego (upstairs on the left) Presence in Partner Dance Guided by Shelby & Andy 8:00pm - 8:45pm Andy & Shelby will be guiding us for our next warm up class focusing on deepening trust and presence through partner dance. Participants will explore connection based movement using trust falls, dips, and beginner friendly tricks designed to build confidence and attunement with a partner. The class emphasizes clear communication, grounded support, and embodied awareness, offering practical tools that can be carried into future social dances, performances, or conscious movement practices. No prior partner experience is required, just a willingness to listen, lead, follow, and trust. Ecstatic Dance Journey Featuring Lighthawk 9pm-11pm Lighthawk offers a unique array of instrumentals with down tempo driven beats to full movement sets with his originally produced music as well as DJ sets focused in the edm, downtempo, and bass genres blending tasteful worldly fusions into the mix . He can blend the realms of a meditative container into a fully engaged dance set or a mix of the two finding the balance in between. Hailing from Northern California and dwelling in the Nevada City region of the Sierra foothills. Lighthawk's Sound Journeys, a blending of a traditional sound bath/journey style with a hypnotic rhythmic cadence , percussive animations, to deep earthen roots fully embodied with articulated compositions. Fusions of organic instruments and also implementing electronic / natural sound-scapes create containers for deep relaxation. His sound journeys are a blend of ancient sounds woven into a tapestry of resonance. This unique blend of acoustic instruments , versatile flow , with curated musical expertise will have your body, mind , and spirit traveling through time and leave you with a deeply re calibrated nervous system.
