Ecstatic Dance San Diego is back in Pt. Loma on Friday, December 3rd. Ecstatic Dance is a Tribal Movement, a Sacred Space for you to explore, unwind and unfold your true expression. Come be held by the dance floor, the music and the community, connect non-verbally with yourself and others and tap into the magic of this liberating movement space. EVENT SCHEDULE: OPENING CIRCLE @ 8:00-9:00pm ♾ Opening Circle & Warm Up Class Workshop: Depths of Dance Our time together will start with an opening workshop led by Victori and Dennis that aims to explore collaborative and shared dance through engagement games. We will learn to name and identify present emotions in ourselves, others and share in the space. Learn ways to navigate shared dance dynamics including initiating, accepting, denying, and knowing the limits and desires of the dance. This will be a series of fun engagement games, teaching the dynamics of communicating consent nonverbally and verbally. You can expect silly expressions, deep personal insight, and new tools for deepening your dance experiences with and without dance partners. Dancers will leave this workshop better equipped to communicate their dance desires while respecting and protecting their own bodies as well as the collective. ECSTATIC DANCE JOURNEY @9:00pm- 11:00pm ♾ featuring Yaalini♾ Oregon-based Dj Yaalini sends us on a journey through the inner world of multicultural and multidimensional soundscapes. She provides an ecstatic experience of world, bass, house, harmonics, and deep soul-moving vibrations. She has been a space toning music cultivating Dj in the ecstatic dance community for the past four years.
