As a DJ Luke is a fixture in the NW ecstatic dance community, and is expanding into California with a tour in January of 2025. Luke Rain makes cool, refreshing, bassy drops and brings the drip like a hip hop hippie. In both his DJ sets and his production Luke is able to bend and blend genres across the musical spectrum, flowing effortlessly between bass and hip hop, electronic and organic, left field and pop appeal. He finds himself equally at home at a festival, rave, renegade campout or ecstatic dance. Move however you wish. You are always at choice about whether you want to dance solo or with other people. ​ You can expect a two-hour, DJ'd musical "journey". Music for the first 10-15 minutes is ambient and downtempo for you to arrive, warm up, and stretch as you like. The tempo begins to build gradually from there reaching a peak or catharsis in the second half of the dance. Afterwards the music comes down, softening and slowing towards the end for relaxation and rest as we conclude the dance. All are welcome, all are at choice. Each individual takes full responsibility for their experience including their own health and safety.
