A longtime force in the Ecstatic Dance community, her sets weave together bass, global rhythms, sensual grooves, remixed classics, and moments of genuine connection—inviting dancers into an experience that is both grounding and liberating. Come as you are. ✦•··········•✦•············•✦ SHEENA MEDICINA Sheena Medicina is a DJ, facilitator, event producer, and longtime lover of music and movement. Raised around dance studios and fitness classes, she grew up immersed in rhythm, creativity, and embodied expression from an early age. After discovering Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms practice and Ecstatic Dance in her twenties, Sheena found a path that deeply resonated—and eventually stepped behind the decks herself in 2015. Since then, she has become a beloved presence within conscious dance communities across the Pacific Northwest, the West Coast, and beyond. Known for her diverse musical style and emotionally rich journeys, Sheena weaves together deep bass, global rhythms, playful remixes, sensual grooves, and uplifting moments that invite authentic movement and connection. Her sets honor dance as both celebration and ritual—creating space for people to move, release, connect, and come alive together. In addition to touring and DJing, Sheena also mentors women entering the music industry and produces gatherings including Portland Ecstatic Dance, BassWitch, The Medicina Campout, and international retreat experiences in Costa Rica. ✦•··········•✦•············•✦ SCHEDULE - 6pm: Yin w/ David - 7pm: Opening Circle - Dance Journey (2hrs) - Closing Circle to end ✦•··········•✦•············•✦ COST: $20 - Opening Movement included (or $10 for class only) - Dance tokens available (as low as $15) - Free childcare available - Free during your birthday week ✦•··········•✦•············•✦ COMMUNITY GUIDELINES - Move however you wish, while respecting the space of those around you - No talking on the dance floor, there is plenty of space in the temple for conversation - We ask that you refrain from use of cell phones, photos, video, & strong scents during the dance - Ecstatic Dance is a Drug & Alcohol Free Space - Our dance is built on consent.
