Facilitator: Dustin Wong Description: --Foundational Connection Skills and Concepts (Part 2) - MOMENTUM— Contact improvisational dance is a form of partner dancing that seemingly has little structure, and from the outside looking in it can be challenging to know where to start or how to do it. I am going to hold the Part 2 class of my Contact Improv Flow series again with some modifications. This time focusing more around feeling into the shared weight and balance. I sense that more time engaged with the topics will help dancers deepen their understanding. We will cover lead follow concepts, review weight sharing methods and finally we will explore the concept of momentum and its role in the connection and dance. My intention for this class is to prioritize movement & dancing over talking so please come early to warm up, stretch a bit on your own, and ground into the space. An important briefing on consent will precede the class.
