Ecstatic Dance SRQ on-site with dj Kat

Join the ecstatic community and dj Kat for an evening of music, movement, exploration, expression or whatever you’d like to do! Ecstatic dances are done around the world. Some come for a spiritual practice, ceremony, others for exercise, connection, play, to heal the body, release … or to dance. We open with a meditation or “warm up” time. You can do as you please, become mindful, present…. Breathe, stretch. Kat begins with guidelines for the dance and sometimes a moving opening to get you started. The dance flows, it’s barefoot and silent ( no talking). You can move as much as you like, how you like. The dance ends with stillness and a short time to share if you want. This is a sacred container for you to be you in all it’s expressions. We collectively hold the space which means do your best to be in time, please respect and care for each other, ( use consent before dancing with others and if you choose to dance undisturbed simply make that known with a gesture.). We are a loving community and welcome all ages, gender, bodies, skin colors, religions, and cultures. Please take personal responsibility about your choice of wearing a mask/vaccine or not. We respect all for this. The dances are available at home thru zoom. Please stay home if you don’t feel well, wash hands, and choose from love. $15-20 sliding.
