He may seem a little quiet because he knows how to listen and to our benefit, has a Great Ear for music! :) He brings us SHAMAN'S JOURNEY~ a DRUMTASTIC voyage of organic deliciousness that will take us into the deepest realms of our Heart & Soul! We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to come from the start of the warm up to experience the full journey for ultimate bliss! You are also welcome to join anytime during the dance. 10am-10:30am CLASS Meet other dancers and learn HOW TO’S of Ecstatic Dance - On being a safe dancer that others want to dance with, freeform movement principles, contact with the environment, self, and others - includes some Contact Improvisation instruction. Learn or ask about safe touch, getting a non-verbal “yes”, and any other questions are welcome. 10:30am Warmup music 10:55am Meet & Greet / Theme 11:05am Dance Journey 12:30pm Closing Circle FREE PARKING: Street, or Interfaith Ministry Parking lot 3300 Main (south of bldg ground level) drive in from Stuart Street between Fannin and Main, north of CVS. DANCER GUIDELINES: Please familiarize yourself with our Guidelines at the front desk and briefly given at Opening Circle. If you are NEW, we encourage you to come to the 10am Class and Opening Circle to become familiar with this style of dance. NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEO: Please refrain from capturing images in our space. This allows us to express ourselves freely without worry of looking good. On occasion, we offer photo and video days and will make sure everyone is aware. PARENTS: Children are welcome! (Please try this out first before bringing kids to make sure you approve) We ask that you keep a close watch on them at all times for everyone's safety. This is an opportunity to teach them how to be free and fun while dancing and respectful and quiet in the sacred circles we are creating together.
