Coming from her roots in psytrance, she has spent the last decade playing at electronic music events, festivals and Ecstatic Dances around the world. Her unique style of weaving the traditional music of Eastern and indigenous cultures with electronic bass and dance music started with her love for sonic-induced states of trance after practicing traditional Sanskrit Kirtan when she was in high school. A lifelong musician, Amritaji is passionate about blending traditional and modern music, giving her audiences a distinct sonic experience of deep bass lines, Eastern melodies and uplifting grooves. Her passion is for creating sacred dance journeys to offer a sonic space for healing, free and authentic expression, and fun! She regularly performs in Salt Lake City, across the US and internationally. Amritaji founded Ecstatic Dance Milwaukee in 2016. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, where she is a resident DJ and DJ trainer at Ecstatic Dance Salt Lake City. She is a DJ trainer with Ecstatic Dance international, an ambassador for Ecstatic Dance Records and is a resident artist with Ommunitymoons. It's a substance-free, all ages, community celebration where you can simply be yourself, and experience rejuvenation and inspiration through connection, dance & music. ..:Ecstatic Dance Event Schedule:.. 6-7pm: Yoga w Kat 7-9:30pm: Ecstatic Dance w/ DJ Amritaji 9:30pm: Closing Ceremony 10pm: Vegan Dinner from the Temple $6 Our space also has multiple relaxation areas, a beautiful alter which offers tarot cards, and healing crystals, as well as a community run organic garden outside our building. You are welcome to visit our garden anytime during the dance – members of our community meet one hour before our dance starts to volunteer their time. If you feel called to join them simply show up to the garden before the dance, your participation is greatly appreciated. ---------------♡ --------------- Cost: 20+ $15 13-19: $5 12 & under: Free Last Hour: $10 Movement/Yoga: Included with Ecstatic Dance Ticket, or $5 for just the Movement/Yoga class Dance Tokens available for as little as $10 per event We also offer Childcare for free! Dance is FREE on your Birthday Week ---------------♡ --------------- Community Guidelines: -Move however you wish, while respecting the space of those around you -No talking on the dance floor, there is plenty of space in the temple for conversation -We ask that you refrain from use of cell phones, photos, video, & strong scents during the dance -Ecstatic Dance is a Drug & Alcohol Free Space -Our dance is built on consent. It’s important to get a non-verbal invitation to dance with a partner, and we ask that you maintain that level of respect during and after the dance ends.
