join us for a special sunday dance w/ Equanimous at the Incredible Saint Paul and Saint Andrew Church. Dancing Fam, we so excited to bring you this very special sunday dance church at the amazing Saint Paul and Saint Andrew Church in the Upper West Side. For this dance we are Hosting none other than: Equanimous. If you caught him at our Dance Beyond Campout or have seen his shows you know whats up. If you havent, you soon will. This is gonna be real good. ++++++++ A special warm up to start the night with Trinity with Transformational dance followed by: Naoba visiting us from central America who will be opening the night with her ecstatic tribal grooves. Closing we will have Alex Nero and musical guests close out the night. The Space: Saint Paul and Saint Andrew Church is an iconic space in the Upper West Side. Boasting gigantic ceilings, mezzanine, and places to lounge. This will be the perfect space for our dance. About Equanimous: Equanimous is a music producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist. He gathers elements from the world around him to create a sound that defies genres, pushes boundaries, and can only accurately be described as an experience. His diverse and unpredictable music resonates with any listener and creates a joyous high vibrational atmosphere on the dance floor. Equanimous expands the electronic music experience by playing live djembe, keys, and beatboxing along with his tracks. He's known for his deep bass, beautiful melodies, live looping, and creative rhythmic beats that take people into a state of euphoric dancing and heart-centered bliss. About Naoba: NAOBA is Tamara's moniker since 2020, an avatar holding and delivering the immense channeling of Earth's wisdom through music. NAOBA is the ancient name of the Nahuatl people native to Mesoamerica, where Tamara originates from. Wearing this name means to bring forward the beauty and power from ancient peoples who held a deep connection with the Earth. This project surely brings a ceremonial aspect to the stage and dance floor. NAOBA also creates cacao ceremonies and spaces of transformation through conscious feelings work. Tamara creates MUSIC from the necessity of Soul expression. By venturing into unexplored territories, she bring back gold to share. Enjoy multi-instrumentalism on stage with her hybrid setup, and sonic atmospheres of different qualities for different spaces. Her work holds deep sensitivity to frequencies, music styles, the participants and energy levels. NAOBA brings in a transformative essence to the sound current with her music sets, covering a wide plethora of world music with a balanced drive of electronic dimension. Doors 5pm- come early, stretch, chill, meditate and mingle. 530pm-630pm Warm Up - Each dance features a different warm up presented by teachers and practitioners from various fields and modalities. This is about self-expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about dance. ❃ There will also be a beautiful lounge space to relax, decorated as well as refreshing, alcohol-free beverages and food. ➤ Guidelines: 1. No talking on the dance floor (plenty of room to talk on the sides and lounge area) 2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment 3. No photos or videos, cellphones muted and out of sight 4. Respect for the space and one another 5. Move your body however you wish! ➤ What to Bring: 1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself 2. Water and a water bottle. You can refill it at the venue. We do not provide plastic cups as we strive to be a zero-waste event. 3. Coat check will be available to allow dancers to store their coats, bags and other valuables.
