This week we are excited to have Heeraa lead our journey! This is an extra special dance because it is also Heeraa's birthday! Ecstatic Dance Schedule: (Arrive and/or leave anytime!) 6 pm: Yoga w. Chris R. 7 pm: Opening Circle 7-9 pm: Ecstatic Dance w. Heeraa & Now 9 pm: Closing Music w. Dylan DJ Bio: Heeraa has facilitated conscious dance for over 20 years. She is a passionate, life-long dancer and DJ who loves nothing better than rocking the floor into deep ecstasy with eclectic world beats and surprising choices. Producing and playing for raves in Kyoto, Japan in the 80s, many winters spent dancing in Goa, led to exploring dance as meditation in the Osho ashram in Pune, India for 7 years. Committed to a life of movement as a path to healing and Presence, Heeraa founded Ecstatic Dance Hawaii in Honolulu, building and leading the community for over 12 years. Now a certified 5Rhythms® Heartbeat teacher based in Salt Lake, she travels and teaches globally. www.5rhythms-heeraa.com Stay afterward to eat and socialize at a donation-based vegetarian dinner provided by the Krishna temple. Ecstatic Dance SLC weaves together world-class DJs, immersive sound journeys, and free-form movement. It's a substance-free, community celebration where you can simply be yourself, and experience rejuvenation and inspiration through connection, dance & music. 🎭 Masks are optional. If you're not feeling well, please stay home. Implement your best consensual practices when it comes to physical distancing. 🎟 Admission is $20, and pre-purchase is no longer required. Tokens are being accepted! When you arrive, we invite you to take a look at how full the dance floor is and gauge your comfortability with the number of people in the space prior to paying for admission. There is always the option to dance outside the back doors if it begins filling up and you'd prefer the fresh air and more space. We have childcare now as well! Guidelines to set the Ecstatic Dance container: No talking on the dance floor. No photography, video, tech (texting, scrolling, etc.) in the dance room. No street shoes on the dance floor. If you don't wish to dance barefoot, dance shoes are allowed. Clearly consensual partner dancing/touch ONLY. While physical distancing mandates have lifted, please be aware and courteous of varying comfortability and readiness on the part of those around you.
