Ecstatic Dance Wednesdays with Sophie

Every Wed night @ 7.30-9.30pm, St Michael's Primary School Hall, Bristol. BS2 8BE. £15, (£10 concession). WELCOME! If you have never danced at St Michael's a warm welcome to you! Expect to enter into a warm and welcoming space where you can allow yourself to drop and relax into movement. Some guidelines to create a safe space for the group:- - Let go of talking on the dance-floor - Please arrive free of stimulants - Respect your own boundaries and others - Wear bare feet or dancing shoes if you need support. DIRECTIONS Go right into Woodland Rd off Park Row then right into Cantocks Close then keep going into Medical Av, at T junction at end turn left then follow round sharp right then right again through school gates ....St Michaels on the Mount Parish Hall. Arrive at 7.30 and follow where people are going....door at right of 2 storey building ....on first floor.... BS2 8BE. THE FACILITATOR Sophie's facilitation is influenced by her 20 years experience dancing Gabrielle Roth’s map of the 5 rhythms. She trained in 2014 to be a Conscious Dance Facilitator with a modality called Dancing Freedom, running sessions from 2015 and becoming a resident DJ and Ceremonialist for Ecstatic Dance UK. Over the years she has evolved her gift to intuit what’s present in each dance space and guide with a compassionate heart and a passionate ear for music. THE INTENTION The intention for these weekly sessions: - That the transformative nature of music, dance and community continues to help us feel more embodied, to remember that we belong to a community and to inspire us to live with more aliveness in each moment.
