Music As Medicine events celebrate the transformational power of music to heal, bringing us all together as one beating heart and bring us back to our authentic selves. Music As Medicine has been hosting events in Manchester for the past few years from signing workshops in the woods, piano recitals, nights of celebration and collaboration with various musicians, styles and genres with a focus on community, conscious lyrics and healing sounds. These nights of collaboration birthed The Order of Love, and over the past 18 months they have been taking their sound journeys and dance events to venues and festivals throughout the UK, raising the vibration and slam dunking the funk on the dancefloor wherever they go!!!! Dancers respond to the music, musicians to the dancers; a co - creation happening in the present moment where we share the journey but with the freedom to be ourselves. All is welcome, come as you are!! The Order Of Love (multi-instrumentalists and space-holders from Music As Medicine and Caulbearers; Damien Mahoney ,Gavin Mullan & Nick Malin) play an improvised set of soundscapes and music; ‘...from the gentle caress of singing bowls and angelic strings to the tribal force of drums, rhythm, bass and didgeridoo’. The musicians will not be following a set structure, it will be 100% improvised; this way the sound journey is in direct relationship to the dance. One guiding and influencing the other.
