Ecstatic Dance with Zouk at Yoga & Co

Join us Sunday morning for Ecstatic Dance at the beautiful Yoga & Co studio. This week we're excited to have Chicago-based dance artist Sydney Schiff visit and start us off with a short Brazilian Zouk workshop! Ecstatic Dance is authentic movement, allow your body to move as it wants to, or to be still. There's no shoes, no words, and no judgement on the dance floor. There is a space to connect with yourself and others. There will be a Brazilian Zouk dance lesson from 10:30am-11am. Ecstatic Dance begins with an opening circle at 11am. After an hour of Ecstatic Dance, we will come together in closing circle. Suggested donation is $10-$25 as you are able. After dance, we can keep the connection going over lunch buffet at Lzaza Indo-Pak Cuisine. About Sydney: she is a classically-trained dancer currently teaching, choreographing, and performing Brazilian Zouk and Contemporary dance around the world. She is visiting Des Moines to dance and teach a Brazilian Zouk workshop on Saturday.
