A very special morning of connection and movement with Cacao and Ecstatic Dance; in honor of Mothers Day, the New Moon and the coming of the Spring Equinox! We will also be celebrating mothers everywhere, around the world in preperation for Mothers Day. EVENT FLOW. Room Opens - 0945 Introduction - 1000 Ceremony Opens - 1015 Closing Circle - 1215 The opening of ceremony will be held by cacao sorceress Deya, facilitating the space for us to come together within ourselves, one another and the Spirit of Cacao Pixi Pete will hold the Ecstatic Dance facilitating the space to gently drop into movement and our bodies where we will dance through the elements inviting their support and guidance. We will finish with a meditation to integrate our journey and to send love out to all beings in the world. For those who wish to participate, there will be a sharing circle at the end. We chose to create this gathering with you at this challenging and powerful time, to create connection and a space for some strong self-care. This is an invitation for you to receive and resource yourself, to call in what strengthens you, listening to your soul's calling, and remembering that we are never alone. To harness this powerful time of the new moon and to take this time to set and get clear on any intentions that wish to be set to plant seeds for our future, individually and collectively. BE PREPARED. In order to participate in this ceremony, you will need to set time aside before to prepare your own cup of cacao. as part of the ticket options you can purchase 100g of Cacao Amor ceremonial grade cacao that will be sent to your home. if you already have cacao then you can use your own, but please come to the start of the ceremony prepared with you cacao ready to drink. The room will open at 9.45 for arrival time and Please arrive before the start time of 10am to make the most of the 2hrs for the ceremony. Many efforts have gone into being able to send the best quality audio to your home and so it is recomended if you can plug your computer into an external speakers this will give you the best experience. Wear comfy clothes to dance in, have water at hand to drink and stay hydrated and have a blanket at hand to lie down for the end if you wish too. BENIFITS OF CACAO. During the time of the Olmec, Mayan and Aztecs, the fruit and its seeds were traded as currency, drunk in Ceremony, as sacrament for rights of passage and important events such as weddings, as well as being used as a ceremonial offering to the gods. BENIFITS OF ECSTATIC DANCE Ecstatic dance offers a place of wellbeing, to fully connect with the inner-self and to the life force that is alive inside and around every one of us. It is an invitation to lean into, trust and give full expression to sensations and emotions in the body. For thousands of years and all around the planet, in all cultures such as the native Americans and whirling dervishes, to name a couple, dance has been used as a communal, ritualistic, healing force. The use of movement and dance is not only a form of exercise, it also promotes emotional and social integration! Through dance you can get in touch with your emotions, exploring and expressing them. This helps release tension in the body and a gives a chance for any emotions waiting under the surface to be expressed. This helps restore the dancer with self-regulation, relaxation, wholeness, aliveness and releases stress. The use of music and sound, plays a vital role in this too. The music and the sound waves that are heard hold the space for the expression, especially facilitating any repressed or unexpressed emotions to be released. Emotions are energy in motion! They are an intrinsic part of the human experience. ABOUT THE FACILITATORS Pixi Pete With over a decade of embodiment practices, self development workshops and as a musician, Peter has developed his Djing skills to a high level. Over the years as an Ecstatic Dance Facilitator “Pixi” has propelled himself onto the Conscious Dance scene, collaborating with a whole host of amazing and talented artists, facilitators and organizers. Initially making a name for himself in Glastonbury, Somerset. He is known for incorporating live drumming from his Djembe, Bongos and Drum Synth into his sets, adding extra layers to the music, and really getting the crowd going. He can be found DJing at festivals and conscious dance events across England.
