I'm thrilled to offer you our 1st Tues. night Dance of the decade at Mia’s Ecstatic Soul Sessions! We invite your presence to dive deeply together in setting internal and external sacred space for this important transition! This WISHING WELL is a Dance Journey of Love for Ourselves, Our Community, and Our Planet! Let's use our hearts to ignite our love into the 'I AM THAT’ we WISH to See Feel Experience, and Dance with in this New Year and Decade! Work trade available with prior arrangements (contact Mia Pem) We do not have a first time free policy: Everyone's financial exchange for the dance helps us sustain and grow this offering. If it is your first time at an ecstatic dance, PLEASE let us know. We will share our dance guidelines and answer any questions you might have about the space we hold together. Childcare scholarship available for Single parents with children at home with a caregiver. Please sign in for this at the welcome desk. ___________________________ ECSTATIC SOUL SESSIONS DANCE GUIDELINES -This is a SOBER and substance free environment. -Barefoot, sock foot or soft sole shoes only -NO PHONE/NO-PHOTOGRAPHY/NO-VIDEO ZONE -Diversity and inclusion of all identities, backgrounds, creed, ethnicity, gender identities and expression is welcome and celebrated here. -These evening dances are inclusive of ages 12 and up. -This floor is slippery when wet! We sweat our prayers here so clothe yourself to keep sweat off the floor. If you tend to sweat through clothing before the dance is over, bring multiple items to change into. -Please refrain from wearing strong scents of any kind to the dance. -Take verbal conversations outside of the dance space. -We dance ALONE & TOGETHER here. We all work on; courageously approaching others with the invitation to a dance, compassionately communicating “no” to a dance with others when internally guided to do so, and not taking it personally when others choose not to dance with us. -Enter into a dance or initiate touch with another 'after' an approach from the front and with visual acknowledgment. -If you are not getting “yes” body language for a dance, consider it a “no”. -The floor is a valid dance partner. -Vocalizing is a natural way to move energy and is welcome in the dance. Please be discerning and know that this personal expression influences the collective experience and should be used in moderation. -Feel free to close your eyes when you are dancing in one place. If you are moving through the room or gesturing expansively with your body, have your eyes open to navigate safely through the space. -Check behind you when you are moving backwards. -If non-verbal communication is not working in designating a boundary or safety issue, with compassion and care, communicate however you need to. -Let’s leave the dance facility clean and cared for when we’re done. -Please connect with the facilitators of the dance if you have questions or concerns, or email Mia at [email protected].
