Somatic, joyful and liberating, we are truly blessed to have this offering from a beloved long term Ecstaturday member. If you were here for last year's very popular class, you know how amazing of a Contact Improv Dance teacher Kevin is. Come learn to share the center of gravity and lean into the art of leaning. And before her big show at the Church of 8 Wheels on Sunday, and in the midst of her west coast tour where she’s played Ecstatic Dances up and down the coast, please welcome Sheena Medicina from Portland gracing us with a special live set that will be sure to amaze! Rooted in Ecstatic Dance principles, we feature spirited beats for your auditory pleasure in a spacious and beautiful outdoor grassy setting. We gather and co-create a grounding dance space to move and shake ourselves and our expectations. We strive to connect inward and outward to provide an opportunity for dancers to move their bodies and souls to the music. Etiquette: No shoes, no talking, no alcohol, no phones, no judgements and no worries. *While talking isn't forbidden, please respect dancers tuned into the music and their own flow. Take your conversations outside of the dance space.* *Ask for consent and give people space before engaging since many attendees take COVID precautions.* Pro Tips: Bring your own blanket, snacks, and maybe even an offering to the community.
