Get knowledge about the development of latin music we dance to today in Salsa, Bachata, and other Latin based styles. Learn and/or enhance what it means to dance with the music. Bachata Urbana 1pm by Leandro Charanga What is Bachata Urbana?!? Bachata Urbana has hip-hop and bachata sensual influence. The uniqueness of this style is THE FUNK, more musical accents, and passion! First half is learning a Bachata Urbana routine. This gives the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the style and have a funky, passion filled time of dancing. (10 minute bio break) Second half is focused on technique and partnerwork. - Balance - Body-rolling - Connection and more... (15 minute break) Congo Percussion Class 3pm by Jose Ferrera Are you ready to FEEL the music when you dance? Cinco, Seis, Seite, Ocho... This hour in El Cubanaso Workshop will include you physically playing the drums. The music creates the dance, when you create the music you become CONFIDENT in your dance. Confidence in accenting the music. Confidence in not needing to count 5, 6, 7, 8...
