El Encuentro is proud to add ANDRES BRAVO & CAROLINA BALMASEDA to the roster of world-renowned teachers and performers we have presented to you for over 26 years. This is the couple who had all attendees at the Southern California Tango Championship & Festival this past March mesmerized by their artistry. Their captivating performance, emotionally and technically superb, deservedly garnered them 1st place Stage Tango. Their Tango de Pista and Milonga skills brought them medals as well so please be sure to arrive in plenty of time to take advantage of their class at 9pm. At 10pm legendary DJ Mark Sakowski, with over 28 years experience, playing for more than 1,500 milongas will make sure the quality of your dance experience is memorable. He specializes in playing an inspiring mix of traditional tango, vals & milonga in a similar style to the best milongas in Buenos Aires and curates the music from his enormous library. The spotlights will go up at 11:45pm as Andres & Carolina step onto The Tango Room floor to share the magic of their dance that never fails to enthrall everyone. This will be their last performance in Los Angeles so do not miss it!
