El Swing with live Salsa from Orquesta Estelar + El Swing DJs + Salsa Dance Class led by Yamile

Ahi Na Ma �Orquesta Estelar are one of the hottest live Latin bands in London and bring their energy and live brilliance to a range of gigs across the UK with a dazzling array of percussion, horns, flutes, guitars, vocals and strings. This spectacular Cuban Big Band includes over 25 members, and it's still growing. Orquesta Estelar play all the Cuban classics, at venues from upscale West End clubs (Valbonne and Café de Paris) to diplomatic and cultural events. Sara McGuinness and Elpidio Caicedo lead a stunning band line-up, setting the Festival stage alight with cha cha cha, son, mambo and Latin jazz, in original arrangements that showcase every instrument in the band. 'Classic Latin rhythms topped with a dazzling array of horns, flutes, guitars and strings’ The band play a live blast of BIG BAND Salsa that The Portico stage is now large enough and strong enough to handle!! Our Colombian Salsa teacher, Yamile, gets the hips moving with her all-comers Salsa Dance Class from 7.30, followed by the club night with El Swing DJs and Orquesta Estelar. The DJs (on rotation): Johnny G, Carey Lyseight and Gerry Lyseight have hosted some of London’s most legendary club nights: Salsa Fusión, Latin Swing at Wessex House, Mambo Inn.
