As the Autumn is setting in and the eve of All-Hallows is on the horizon, Peter and Tallulah invite you to join them in a collaborative evening of music, movement, song and deep heart embodied nourishment. Come just as you are and bring all of yourself to the dance floor, this is a space to connect with yourself and drop deeply into your body, to give movement and sound to the parts of you waiting to be heard and seen. In this 2 hour journey, you will have the opportunity to move, sound, and express yourself to the moment and music. Finding inspiration in the connection with others and be being lovingly held by two experienced facilitators. The Ecstatic dance will be preceded by a short Qi Gong warm-up, that flow into some gentle guidance as the ecstatic dance journey begins. This helps you release, shift, move, play and flow freely as your body needs. The dance will weave into a live sound journey to integrate the dance and finish with a grounding prayer of loving kindness to close. Weaving live percussion into his sets and having his finger on the pulse for fresh and up-and-coming ecstatic dance music. Seamlessly blending a range of genres of well-known, remixes, and new music that will inspire and delightfully surprise you. Expect soul-lifting melodies, deep tribal and organic beats mixed in with powerful bass sounds, and a splash of drum and bass. Its supports the nervous system and clears old and stagnant energy from the body. The simple movements also brings the practitioner more present in the body and quiets the mind quietens. Its well known for creating a greater sense of wellbeing, relaxation, boosting immunity and greater connectedness to the body WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE? E.D is a free-movement embodiment practice, inviting people to connect into themselves and to others through music and movement. A live DJ set will start and finish with a short opening and closing circle, sometimes with live elements. During the dance there is little or no guidance, here your body is your teacher, and the music your guide. GUIDELINES We ask that you please respect the following guidelines to create a safe and harmonious event: No talking! Ecstatic Dance is a conversation-free space practice - instead, we encourage you to communicate with others using your body language and of course use your voice to deepen your practice, but please keep conversation to before or after the dance. No shoes. We will be dancing outside and barefoot. This helps us ground ourselves by creating direct contact between our feet and the earth. Though of course, it may be wet or cold and so shoes may be best weather dependent. No drugs/alcohol - this is a sober space. Phone-free zone. Please keep your phones off/silent and out of sight and no photos. Respect for self and others. We ask participants to take responsibility for themselves, but also to watch out for others and be mindful of individuals' personal space.
