Do you know the 4 primary Elements of Efficiency for athletic movement? Katie Bigelow, M.Ed. will present these four Elements of Efficiency of movement and how they apply in your West Coast Swing dance. Concepts will be discussed in general and sport specific terms. You'll learn movement efficiency within basic patterns of West Coast Swing and the long-term implications for general health and injury prevention. About the Instructor: Katie Bigelow, M.Ed., is a Movement Specialist and owner of Resilient Athletes, LLC based in Charlottesville, VA. She is a nationally recognized health professional with over 10-years of experiences, 3 degrees, and 13 certifications in the areas of injury prevention, sports performance, pain management, and health assessment. Katie offers private sessions, group classes, and workshop presentations to dancers and athletes of all ages and skill levels. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree from Emory University in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology and a Master's degree from the University of Georgia in Education Psychology.
