About this Event

Join us for an immersive 1-day workshop designed to transform your partner dance experience. With a special guest teacher from Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธwe dive deep into the elementsโ€” water ๐Ÿ’ง, air ๐ŸŒช๏ธ, earth ๐ŸŒ, and fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ โ€” to enhance your connection, communication, and expression with your partner. WHAT IS UNIVERSAL PARTNER DANCE? Universal Partner Dance, short UPD combines traditional partner dance, contact improvisation, bodywork, and movement flow principles to create a deep connection between you, your partner, and the environment. By listening through touch and cultivating sensitivity, it nurtures presence and mutual connection. We use the Liberato Method to create a practice, which begins by helping you build confidence in your own body and movements, embracing your unique rhythm and expression. From there, it encourages you to carry that confidence into your interaction with your partner. As you explore the dynamics of leading and following, both you and your partner are empowered to move freely. Through this shared dialogue, you unlock creativity, discover new movements, and create space for mutual expression. WHAT ELEMENTS CAN ADD TO YOUR DANCE? The qualities of lightness, flow, passion, and stability will guide you in developing a more profound and harmonious partner dance experience. Each element will be explored with partner exercises. __________________________________ WHAT YOU GET + 4.0 hours of workshops + Practical tools to enhance connection & creativity + Lead & following by the elements of nature + A unique experience based on the elements creating flow and presence in your partner dance __________________________________ ๐Ÿ“… When: Sunday 27 October, 13:00 - 17:30 ๐Ÿ“ Where: La Catedral, Kaiser-Friedrich-Str. 87 ๐Ÿ’ฐ Price: โ‚ฌ49 ๐ŸŽฏ Who: dancers of all traditions Bachata, Forro, Fusion, Kizomba, Salsa, Tango, Zouk or any other dance practice __________________________________ REGISTRATION: https://forms.gle/rF4JiibyYhRhVdW59 __________________________________ YOUR FACILITATORS The workshop will be facilitated by Jan from Berlin and Inga from Iceland, both trained directly by Xandy Liberato in the Liberato Method. The method focuses on communication, flow, and sensitivity, encouraging self-awareness and exploration of new physical expressions. University-Backed Results In 2020, the University of Valenciaโ€™s Social Psychology Department conducted research on Liberato Dance's social and emotional effects.
