Elise Roth, vocals Michael McQuaid, reeds Mike Soper, trumpet Martin Wheatley, guitar Louis Thomas, bass Songstress Elise Roth grew up listening to the likes of Judy Garland, Helen Forrest, and Ivie Anderson, and hails from New England, where she is known as the "poster girl" of the vintage dance scene. After a year's hiatus in lockdown making dumb videos for the internet, she can’t wait to be singing live again for dancers! Known for both her expressive vocals and her authentic presence, Elise has charmed audiences internationally, from swing dances to supper clubs to vintage events Deep in the heart of Hackney, a cool, cozy jazz club pops up each week. Hot jazz, cheap drinks, and the evening flow as London's best musicians gather to play the sweetest of jazz music you've ever heard. Get on the dance floor and swing, pull up a chair for a chat or huddle in the corner with your whisky and ponder life....all are welcome to our rhythmic haven every Tuesday at The Mildmay Jazz Club.
