These workshops will also introduce modern movements that add visual flair and contemporary energy to your tango, while staying true to the essence of the embrace. Expect playful sequences that spark joy and connection, as well as stylish combinations that include embellishments on the floor and in the air — designed for both leaders and followers to express themselves with beauty, precision, and fun. 🔹 At the Neotango Weekend you have every day workshops with Ezequiel & Gabriela, every evening neo milongas with the international DJ Eze & guests DJ Christina, every afternoon neotango practicas, delicious food and you also have free time to walk in the forest or to go to the lake. She is based in Berlin where she regular teaches, perform and dj neo and traditional tango. Gabriela is a teacher and dancer from Argentina with international stage experience. She has worked with recognized tango maestros and develops her own dance pieces. She has studied and worked in the field of contemporary dance, ballet, tango, folklore. She has done dance schools in Argentina, Belgium, France. Then she expanded her professional spectrum as a dancer in international companies and by assisting the artistic direction in various projects in the fields of dance, tango, film, circus, physical theater, folklore, and children's dance. She has toured as an artist in Europe and the world. Gabriela & Ezequiel are Neotango pioneers. In 2008 they started performing and teaching together at some the first alternative tango festival in Europe. Together they developed a their way of dancing Argentine tango with a mixture of classical and modern tango, connected to the roots of tango, focusing on improvisation, spontaneity and clarity of movement, playfulness and joy. After so many years they will finally teach together again! It is very common to hear an owl, see the deer cross your path or see the squirrels jumping above you through the trees. This old-Saxon farmhouse in Drenthe is the perfect location for tango weekends. The farm has a large hall, a dining room, a group kitchen, a small hall, amphitheater and a studio. A whiteboard, music equipment and a beamer are present. On the grounds of De Uelenspieghel there is a large terrace and a fire pit. The bedrooms are located in the farmhouse and there are three wooden chalets on the site. There is enough space to camp with your caravan, camper or tent.
