EMBER & BLOOM: Flowers, Fire and Delight! Join us in celebrating the traditional May festival of the British Isles : BELTANE ! Beltane celebrates the bountiful height of spring and the flowering of life! Embracing the element of fire and the spirit of passion it honours inner and outer sacred union! It is the gateway to summer, the strengthening of the sun and bright, warm days ahead! We gather to connect in sharing circles and creative activities, weave together in movement with a live ceilidh band, share our voices in song and celebrate life with our DJs! Note, this is a sober and drug free event! BRIGHTON CEILIDH COLLECTIVE We are really excited to have arranged a private ceilidh with an incredible local group! Since 2014 Brighton Ceilidh Collective have been one of the lynchpins of the area’s ceilidh dancing scene, with our regular public ceilidhs, known as Rants as well as playing at over a hundred weddings and parties. We pride ourselves in being open to all dancers, experienced or not. It’s not worrying about getting the dance steps perfect, but instead offering you the freedom to throw yourself headlong into the party no matter how many left feet you may have. Ceilidh is simply the best way of getting together and letting yourself go. Our talented musicians play a mix of fabulous music from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales as well as awesome tunes from much further afield. CYPRESS SELECTIONS Rooted in the divinity of the natural world, Cypress Selections (Ben) invites you to embark on a bass-heavy and conscious journey through the foundational music of Roots, Reggae and Dub. The journey will be interspersed with original productions, live instruments and nature soundscapes. ALARA Alara an artist who loves to play different kind of sounds, from different parts of the world: hypnotic drums, tribal sounds, Middle Eastern & world music - Alara & some friends been creating tribal dance sessions offering a creative expressive journey through sound, words and movement. CURATED BY ECSTATIC DANCE BRIGHTON! We run regular Ecstatic Dance sessions across Brighton; free dance and movement to artistically curated sound journeys by DJs.
