About this Event

RESOURCED - COMING HOME TO THE SAFETY OF OUR BODIES. Kia Ora beautiful dancing community of Aotearoa. I am excited to be on the road offering this embodied dance medicine experience to the wider community of our beautiful country. This summer has been unsettling, to say the least. Whether we have been directly impacted by the unprecedented weather events that have unfolded this summer, we all know of somebody that has been. Fear and uncertainty seem to be the underlying tone for many in our nervous systems. So this embodied ecstatic dance tour is an opportunity to explore somatic practices to find calm and safety in our own bodies and radiate that out to the collective. I will be collecting Koha donations on this tour to send to those in need in the Napier and Hastings region so please bring some extra cash for that. I am on the road in my van so won’t be able to collect other types of Koha. I am aware that there are also many of us struggling financially during this time so if funds are an issue at this time we are always needing help with setup and pack down so please reach out to volunteer. ----------------------------------- COST: $20.00 cash on the door. TIME: 7:.00 - 9.00 pm Dance WHERE: 11 May Street Mount Maunganui -------------------------------- Embodied Ecstatic dance is a guided freeform movement journey, held in a safe and sacred container. A space to gather and reclaim the joy and release of dancing in a non-judgmental space. The recipe is simple: No booze, no shoes, great music, and an epic tribe come together to dance. Don't worry about steps or form or how you look, it's not that kind of dance. Our dance is one that throws the rule books away and instead encourages you to release to the music and let go of that pesky judging mind. --------------------------------------- About Sarsha Hope Sarsha is a teacher of teachers and has over 20 years experience as a facilitator, yoga teacher, embodiment guide and ecstatic dance space holder.
