For more details contact [email protected]. www.EmbraceBoston.org www.SilentRhythms.org www.ThinkOutsidetheVox.org Think Outside the Vox (www.ThinkOutsidetheVox.org) closes the gap between Deaf/Disabled Patrons, BIPOC/marginalized/disabled access providers and arts organizations, who are largely inaccessible by providing arts access consulting and training that centers anti-ableist/antiracist disability culture to arts institutions. Vox focuses on expanding the breadth and scope of accessible programming by facilitating hiring of disabled and marginalized artists and experts. Vox supports the arts, to create, develop and promote accessible theatrical events, education and recreational and social services equitably to persons of varying nationalities, socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. Silent Rhythms (www.SilentRhythms.org) was founded with the mission to use inclusive arts as a way to being communities together -Deaf and Hearing, People with and without disabilities, to educate, raise awareness, promote inclusion and inspire creativity to marginalized communities. Kerry Thompson, Deaf-Blind Founder, Choreographer and Accessibilty Activist will teach this ground breaking class bringing members of Deaf and hearing communities together by teaching a basic ASL lesson followed by a basic salsa lesson. Students of all levels, ages and abilities get to practice their new skills together.
