'From Pista to Performance' Special workshop & mini practica @Dante's Tango Studio With Emma Reyes & Julian Vilardo With over 30 years of combined knowledge and experience of different tango styles (Salon, Milonguero, nuevo and Escenario) Julian and Emma will guide you through some well loved salon sequences and get them performance ready! Whether you are due to compete or simply stand out in the milonga we will get you ship-shape and smarten those edges. With plenty of time to practice afterwards in Dante's light and welcoming studio. About your teachers: Julian Vilardo is an Argentine tango dancer, choreographer, and teacher with 20 years of experience. Originally from Patagonia, he moved to Buenos Aires to train with some of the most renowned masters of Argentine Tango. With a solid foundation in both tango salón and tango escenario, he has performed and taught in over 25 countries, participating in festivals, milongas, and theater productions. He has also worked with prestigious tango companies such as Tango Rouge in Italy. Julian has been a two-time finalist at the Tango de Pista World Championship (Mundial de Tango) in Buenos Aires. Currently, he is based in Zurich, where he teaches tango at La Pantera Tango. Emma Lucia Reyes is a creative Londoner, Tango dance performer, teacher and artist. She is a finalist of the Argentine Tango Championships U.K 2022 and Semi Finalist in the Buenos Aires Mundiales 2022 and winner of the UK ambassadors cup 2023. She has been teaching tango in London for 10 years and now performs and teaches over the UK and Europe, loving nothing more than to share her passion for tango with a particular focus on body technique, expression and communication within the couple. She has experience with many styles of tango including Salon, Milonguero, Nuevo and Escenario which she uses to create her own blended style as well as to create unique tango shows. She directed tango shows Auto/Erotic Tango Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024 and ‘Histoire du Tango’ in Conway Hall, Bloomsbury festival 2023. Very much looking forward to working with you!
