In 2018 he attended a kizomba festival were his dancing life changed forever. He met his first ever teacher Sanjay MJ @sanjaymj_theindianmagic in shanghai kizomba festival where he later learnt from him and began his passionate journey of kizomba. David throughout the years dancing and attending festivals or workshops in China was obsessed with learning new concepts of kizomba whether it was about connection, body engagement or new variations to play with movement and footwork. In 2019 he began his journey as a teacher and sharer of knowledge as a passionate dancer. Realising his love for sharing while traveling around China teaching Urbankiz, Tarraxo, Tarraxinha, Douceur, Fusion and more, he began to develop his pedagogy which he now has been teaching in over 25 cities in China and recently internationally. He is the organiser of multiple events in China and is reaching out to create more collaborations with other Asian countries to build up the community. David has a huge passion for sharing, teaching and community development.
